Lorene Fallin Wiseman March 18, 1948 – October 15, 2023
Mrs. Lorene Fallin Wiseman suddenly and unexpectedly traded her earthly home for her heavenly reward Sunday morning, October 15, 2023, at Tennova Healthcare in Cleveland, TN. She was born March 18, 1948 in Axton, Virginia to the late Walter Houston Fallin and Zeula Anne Weddle Fallin. Mrs. Wiseman grew up in Forsythe County and Stokes County, North Carolina, and has resided in Cleveland, Tennessee for more than thirty years. As a teenage girl up singing in the choir, when a handsome, blue eyed young man walked in the back door of the church, she heard the Holy Spirit say, “That is your husband.” In 1965 they were indeed married and soon began growing the Wiseman family. While she is being celebrated in Heaven today with two of her beloved children, she will be deeply missed and cherished by her dear husband, four children, and ten grandchildren here.
Mrs. Wiseman proudly worked in the furniture industry in High Point, NC for many years, and later she took special pleasure in working for the Industries for the Blind in Winston-Salem. The Wiseman Family accepted the call to evangelism in the early seventies and from that point on Mrs. Wiseman’s life became particularly adventurous, as she cheerfully exclaimed to people, “I’ve seen the whole world traveling with Gene in the ministry!” Together with their children, they’ve proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ across five continents and in most of the fifty United States. Mrs. Wiseman loved to sing and was always humming some Gospel melody or golden oldies tune. She recorded an album titled, “My God is Real!” in the late eighties, which can be streamed online today. Lorene was a servant at heart, and in addition to international mission projects, she loved to volunteer at her local church, the United Christian Church & Ministerial Association, founded by her spiritual father, the late Rev. H. Richard Hall.
Mrs. Wiseman was fiercely loyal in her love and devotion for her family, relatives and friends. She leaves a rich legacy of faith in Christ, humble servanthood, lion hearted strength, godly wisdom, and most especially her music and laughter.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wiseman was greeted in eternity by her daughter, Beverly Annette Wiseman, her son Rev. Shawn K. Patton, five beloved brothers and seven very dear sisters. She is survived by her wonderful husband of 58 years, Rev. Jesse E. (Gene) Wiseman; her son Rodney Wiseman; three daughters: Karisa Lloyd (Frank), LaBreeska Wiseman, and Doressa Niehaus; and her treasured grandchildren: Christian, Israel & Koral (Niehaus); Lucas & Harlow (Wiseman); Serena & Isabella (Ewinger); and Melea (Tyler), Levi & Ariel (Patton); her sister and best friend, Fern Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Home Going Celebration for The First Lady of the Wiseman Family will be conducted at United Christian Church, 2200 Peerless Rd., Cleveland, TN 37311 on Friday, October 20, 2023 beginning at 1:00 PM where you are invited to join the family for an hour of Fellowship & Worship in lieu of a traditional visitation. The service will begin at 2:00PM, conducted by Pastor Danny Emerson, with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Jim Rush Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
